The International Center for Mathematical Sciences – Sofia (ICMS-Sofia) hosts the second international conference on Quantum Groups and Cluster Algebras between 10-14 August 2026 at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, with the financial support of the Simons Foundation, Republic of Bulgaria - Ministry of Education and Science and Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers to share recent advances and promote further developments in the theory of Quantum Groups and Cluster Algebras.
From 15 to 17 May 2026, ICMS-Sofia hosted the international conference Celebrating Women in Representation Theory, gathering sixteen invited speakers from leading universities in nine countries on three continents. The meeting was the latest in the ICMS-Sofia Women in Mathematics conference series, first launched in 2020.
What new structures emerge when algebraic varieties degenerate to piecewise-linear shadows? How do tropical curves illuminate enumerative invariants and mirror symmetry? Where does tropical geometry meet non-archimedean analysis, symplectic topology, and the geometry of moduli? Recent Trends in Tropical Geometry is a research conference bringing together a focused group of mathematicians working in tropical geometry and its interactions with algebraic geometry, enumerative geometry, mirror symmetry, non-archimedean geometry, and related areas.
For his original and insightful research that has had a profound impact on twentieth-century mathematics, and for his role as an inspiring teacher to generations of American mathematicians. Presented by President Bush at a White House Ceremony on October 18, 1989. This is an IMSA event, supported by ICMS, IMSA, the Simons Foundation, National Science Foundation and the University of Miami.
This conference is the first in a series of conferences dedicated to the Theory of Atoms, established through the proven collaboration of the ICMS, IHES, IMSA, and UNICAMP consortium. The next conferences will take place in Miami (IMSA) and Brazil (UNICAMP, IMPA). Sponsors: Simons Foundation, National Science Foundation, University of Miami, and Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science. The event is jointly organized by the Research Group on Theory of Atoms, hosted at the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS-Sofia) at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and the Institute for the Mathematical Sciences of the Americas (IMSA) at the University of Miami.
The International Center for Mathematical Sciences – Sofia (ICMS-Sofia) hosts an international conference on Quantum Groups and Cluster Algebras between 15-19 December 2025 at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, with the financial support of the Simons Foundation, Republic of Bulgaria - Ministry of Education and Science and Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, and Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers to share recent advances and promote further developments in the theory of Quantum Groups and Cluster Algebras.
The workshop brings together a focused group of researchers working across non-Kähler complex geometry, Hodge-theoretic and categorical structures, quantum and irregular phenomena, and mirror symmetry. The goal is to clarify and refine a set of ideas that appear as “atomic” components across these areas, and to create space for concentrated discussion and collaboration. The program combines extended sessions, research talks, and blackboard discussions. The setting is intended to be mathematically rigorous, collegial, and oriented toward identifying new structures and open directions.
