From May 27 to 31, 2024, the International Conference Modern Methods in Nonlinear Elliptic and Parabolic PDE is being held in Plovdiv. The event is organized by the International Center for Mathematical Sciences at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics with the financial support of the Simons Foundation.
The international scientific forum attracted not only early-career researchers but also world-renowned established scientists working in the field of elliptic and parabolic partial differential equations. Invited talks were given by mathematicians from Australia, Bulgaria, Chile, England, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Romania, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and the USA.
The conference was officially opened on May 27, 2024, by Prof. Julian Revalski, President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Director of the International Center for Mathematical Sciences. He greeted the participants and briefly introduced them to the history of the creation of the Center and the events that have been organized so far. Prof. Revalski extended an invitation to the conference participants to visit the International Center for Mathematical Sciences at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics and expressed his confidence that their joint fruitful work will continue in the future.
